The Campfires are coming back

Snowmobile Season is inching closer and closer. We may also not be ready to say Goodbye to Summer…
But we are definitely ready to !

We wanted to take this time for a few announcements and important date reminders! SEE BELOW

* Our club is currently looking for club/trail knowledgeable volunteers to work our Trailblazers Booth at this years Alberta Powersports Show! Please reach out if you would be available to work Friday or Saturday for us.

* Tickets to the ASA Awards are NOW AVAILABLE! Join the snowmobiling community in celebrating it’s volunteerism.

* Our next Trailblazers Member Rewards Draw is fast approaching! Purchase your 26/27 season membership by the end of September to be eligible to win in the next draw!

* This seasons SNOWMOBILE RAFFLE launches in just 1 week! Stay tuned for all the details.

* The Trailblazers hosted their AGM meeting with Executive Elections in the spring – March 2026; therefore we did not host a General/A.G.M meeting this month. Join us for our FIRST MEETING of the Season on October 15th!

4. Alberta Snowmobile Awards of Excellence
This is a very special night where we celebrate the best of volunteerism in the sport of snowmobiling.
Banquet dinner and bar, followed by games, a DJ with an engaging trivia game for entertainment and the Awards ceremony.

Eagle River Provincial Recreation Area – Group Camping Update

EAGLE RIVER PROVINCIAL RECREATION AREA

Group Camping – NOW BOOKING through Woodlands County

The Whitecourt Trailblazers are so excited to announce that Woodlands County has taken over the year-round provincial agreement for the Eagle River Group Campground; home of our Eagle River Staging Area! And bookings are NOW OPEN!

Nestled within the beautiful boreal forest of Woodlands County, the Eagle River Provincial Recreation Area offers a peaceful outdoor setting just 10 km north of Whitecourt along Highway 32 toward Swan Hills.

This spacious group camping area can comfortably accommodate approximately 15 to 20 camping units, making it an ideal destination for family reunions, community gatherings, club events, and outdoor retreats.

Guests who reserve the facility can enjoy newly upgraded amenities, including a brand-new covered cookhouse equipped with a cook stove, providing a comfortable and convenient space for meal preparation and group gatherings. A fire pit area is also available, creating the perfect setting to relax, connect, and enjoy an evening around the campfire.

Surrounded by nature and offering plenty of room to gather and unwind, the Eagle River Provincial Recreation Area combines modern amenities with the beauty of the outdoors, providing a welcoming and memorable camping experience for groups of all sizes.

These two incredible partners co-sponsor our Summit Cabin Rest Area! One of the busiest and most beautiful fan favourite cabins on our trail system; boasting 4 trail heads leading all across our south side trail system. We are so fortunate for their ongoing support of our club and community.

Season after season they also graciously co-sponsor a checkpoint at our annual snowmobile rally; handing out free hot dogs to all of our hungry riders! This season they stepped up to be on board with pivoting our rally plans with us and move their checkpoint to the north trails.

Tri-Jet has also allowed our club use of their electricity to power our in-town groomer barn when needed!

You both truly go above and beyond and we thankyou so much for all your sponsorship support this 2025/2026 season.

One ANC sign is seen coming onto the trail from the Athabasca River and the other can be seen coming from the Eagle River Staging Area onto the Eagle Trail. ANC also generously gives prize donations to our annual snowmobile rally!
