In 2022, the Alberta Government recognized the importance of recreation trails by introducing and proclaiming the Trails Act.
The Whitecourt Trailblazers Snowmobile Club (WTSC) trail system is protected by the Trails Act and Ministerial Order 21/2022
The Trails Act, Public Lands Act and Public Lands Administration Regulation dictate the formalities that Industrial users
must adhere to to work beside or across our trails.
Below is the approval process (as defined by legislation) all industry land users must follow to obtain permission to operate near or over the trail system.
This process applies to not only the actual trail itself, but an additional 10 meters on either side of the trail ( as defined by legislation).
Our trails are a valuable resource and we need your cooperation to keep them open.
If you have work planned on or near the Whitecourt Trailblazers' trail system (ie. roads, pipelines, leases, cut-blocks, etc.), industrial proponents should email an electronic application/document to info@whitecourttrailblazers.ca
Thank you for respecting our trails.
