Weekly Trail Report for Thursday December 18th, 2025

The Whitecourt area has received 5-10 cm’s of snow in the past week and it’s still snowing! Ee currently have 20-25 cm’s.

We understand riders are excited to get out, but riding is NOT recommended at this time. Trail cleaning is complete, the snow cats have been out and started to fill in creek crossings.

Staging Areas:

Eagle River Staging Area is currently off limits; Government of Alberta crews are in there completing upgrades.

North Trail System Staging Area will be at the Eagle River Casino parking lot on the far west side (beside the Husky truck stop) until further notice.

Groat Creek Staging Area gate is now open.

Grooming:

For BOTH our North and South Trail Sections: No grooming has been done on the trails. The snow cats have been out and started to fill creeks.

Riding is NOT recommended at this time.

Hazards on the Trails:

Riding is again NOT recommended at this time, if you are heading out, please use extreme caution.

Active Logging on the Manweiler and Bessie Creek trails in the areas of number 39 & 45; and also between numbers 45 & 47 on the south trail system, please be cautious of logging road crossings, logging equipment and obey any and all signage.

Active Mulching on the Summit trail near numbers 36 & 46. Be cautious of equipment and personnel working in this area.

Early season conditions apply - natural hazards may include ice, running water, rocks, stumps, trees, muskeg. Our trails end at the bank to any body of water. Any Rivers, Lakes, Ponds or Creeks may not be frozen. Please stay off of any large bodies of water.
