The Whitecourt Trailblazers are so excited to announce that Woodlands County has taken over the year-round provincial agreement for the Eagle River Group Campground; home of our Eagle River Staging Area! And bookings are NOW OPEN!

Nestled within the beautiful boreal forest of Woodlands County, the Eagle River Provincial Recreation Area offers a peaceful outdoor setting just 10 km north of Whitecourt along Highway 32 toward Swan Hills.

This spacious group camping area can comfortably accommodate approximately 15 to 20 camping units, making it an ideal destination for family reunions, community gatherings, club events, and outdoor retreats.

Guests who reserve the facility can enjoy newly upgraded amenities, including a brand-new covered cookhouse equipped with a cook stove, providing a comfortable and convenient space for meal preparation and group gatherings. A fire pit area is also available, creating the perfect setting to relax, connect, and enjoy an evening around the campfire.

Surrounded by nature and offering plenty of room to gather and unwind, the Eagle River Provincial Recreation Area combines modern amenities with the beauty of the outdoors, providing a welcoming and memorable camping experience for groups of all sizes.
