TRAIL REPORT - JANUARY 13, 2022
It's a beautiful wonderland out there and the trees are full of snow. We received fresh snow this past week. We have well over 2' with lots of powder and untouched trails in the north. The south has seen more sleds due to accessibility. The warm weather has brought a bit of rain, but it has had little impact on our trails. Our large bodies of water are not frozen, please use caution. Please use our staging areas.
Hazards: Large water bodies not frozen. Pipeline Construction is on the north side on the Gundy Trail to letter K. The Trail is closed. All other crossings are open. Golden Triangle riders reminded to use the Carson Cabin Trail to the Athabasca Trail, Casino to Manweiler Trail to Virginia Hills. The trees are full of snow, therefore watch for hanging trees crossing the trail.
Grooming: South side - Town-Centennial Park Trail, Trail head at the Gun Range, past the Airport, Goodwin, Groat Creek Connector and Groat Creek Trail. The Tom Hill trail will be groomed some time this weekend. North Side - All groomed except Chickadee Creek to Gundy Cabin and Letter K/Pipeline Hill. Those trails will all be groomed early next week when it gets a bit colder. These 7c temps are hard on grooming. Please watch for the snow cats.
Enjoy riding, it's BRAAAPPPP Time.
