Trail Report for Thursday December 5th, 2024

The Whitecourt area has received anywhere from 5-15cm of snow over the past week. Warm temperatures have compacted what snow we do have.
Riding is still not recommended at this time.

 

Staging areas: 

Both staging areas are closed at this time. The Cookhouse at Eagle River staging area remains off limits until the government can complete necessary repairs to the building. Please use caution if you are leaving the parking lot as there may be mulching debris present.

 

Grooming: 

North: No grooming has been done on the north trails.
We are starting to fill creeks this week and continue trail cleaning fallen trees.
Riding not recommended at this time.
South: No grooming has been done on the south trails. We are starting to fill creeks this week and continue trail cleaning fallen trees.
Riding not recommended at this time.

 

Hazards on the Trails:

Again, riding is not recommended at this time; if you are heading out please use extreme caution. As always, our words are " Ride at your own Risk" as the environment can change the conditions at any given time. Early season conditions apply- natural hazards may include ice, running water, rocks, stumps, trees, muskeg. Our trail ends at the banks, all water bodies may not be frozen, stay off large bodies of water.
