TRAIL REPORT - FEBRUARY 1, 2023
REMINDER OF OUR ONLINE SLED RAFFLE, IF YOU HAVEN'T PURCHASED YOUR TICKET YET VISIT: https://www.rafflebox.ca/raffle/whitecourttsc
We are receiving snow today. A winter snowfall warning is in our region between now and Thursday. Please do the snow dance!!
We groomed The Golden Triangle connector from the Carson Cabin to the Freeman River this past weekend with favourable results. We groomed to the Athabasca River from the Chickadee Burner and up to the Virginia Hills Road and back to Gundy Trail (Golden Triangle section). As well, we will be grooming up to Shiningbank Lookout via Summit, Bessie and Manweiler trails in the next couple days so beware of the snowcat on the trails during the day.
Staging Areas: Both staging areas are open.
Hazards: Reminder that our trail ends at the banks of water bodies. Please be cautious for signage and re-routing on the trails in the north and the south during this winter. We have made many changes with flattening some hills, widening, mowing and mulching various trails. Multiple re-routing/bypasses have been completed; please watch for signs or ribboning. We have Forestry Industry adjacent to many of our trails, therefore a heads up and stay on the trails.
