Town OHV bylaw allowing access to the trails from town residence ends today. Sleds must be trailered out of town. Staging Areas are still open. Rivers and creeks are starting to flow but trails still have a lot of snow cover. It is too warm to groom so groomer has been parked.
Groomer tried to go out this week but snow is balling up because temperature is too warm. Trails are still in good condition. High traffic areas around Eagle River Staging area are a little rough but fresh snow is still falling. Watch for melting and overflow on creeks and rivers.
Trails near town are a little rough. Groomer will be out if weather cools off. Trails in Groat Creek area and Virginia Hills are still very good. Watch for open water on rivers and lakes.
Just a reminder that the monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 9 will be held at the Carson Warm-Up Shelter. The meeting will start at 7:00pm but be there at 6:00pm for a hot dog roast. (Bring your own dogs.) Everyone is welcome.
