Doug Hay – Thank-you!

DOUG HAY

We are sad to announce that Doug has stepped away from the Executive Board this past season and we want to thank him so much for his many years of service on the board and as a member since the mid 1980's!

Doug has held positions from Director, Snowarama Coordinator, Golden Triangle Representative, Rally Coordinator, Safety Coordinator, Trail Boss Coordinator, Vice President & President! He has been involved since the early 80's when he first came to our little town. If he wasn't holding a position on the board, he was attending meetings, trail cleaning and helping out with the various events we hold.

Doug held the VP Position in 1986 and 1987. In the1988/89 season he was President. He then held a director position in 93/94, 94/95 and 95/96 seasons. He held the VP position again in the 1997/98 Season. He then came back onto the board in 2021/22 to 2023/24 in the NW Trail Boss Position.

Doug is a wealth of knowledge in Club History and is a fantastic story teller of happenings within the Club since the beginning. Doug has worked on countless Trailblazers projects throughout the years and has always been an active rider. Doug is one heck of a sledder and puts on average 2000-3000 kms a year riding. Over the years he definitely would be in the top 5 high miler riders on our trails!! He is one of the first to go sledding and one of the last to close out the season.

Again, thanks Doug for your work throughout the 40+ years and your continued work on the trails, input at the meetings, your trail inspection reports and your new Santa gig.

We hope to see you on the trails! ❄
