TRAIL REPORT – Thursday February 6th, 2025

The Whitecourt area has received between 20-30cm of new snow over the past week. We have started grooming operations on both the north and south trails. All trails have been groomed at least once.

Staging Areas

Both staging areas are open for the season. Use caution if you are leaving the parking lot or trail at Eagle River Staging Area as there may be mulching debris present.

Grooming

North: Grooming has started on the north trails. All north trails have been groomed. All trails east of Highway 32 were groomed 2 weeks ago. The Manweiler trail down to the Athabasca, Temporary trail, Golden Triangle Trail West of Highway 32 were groomed last week. Trails are in good shape!
* The Golden Triangle Section between the Carson Cabin and Letter O has been groomed.  Please use caution as there may be debris on the trail until we can get more snow and groom again. 

South: Grooming has started on the south trails. All south trails have been groomed.  The Bessie Creek Trail, Goodwin Lake Trail, Manweiler Trail from #45 to the Summit Cabin, the Summit Trail from Whitecourt to #47, the Groat Creek Canyon and connector trails were all groomed last week.
Trails are in good shape!
* Please use caution on the Goodwin Lake Trail as there is logging in progress. Watch for signage and ribbons on the trail. Please follow signage directions.

Hazards On The Trail

Please stay on the groomed trails. If you are heading out use extreme caution. As always, our words are " Ride at your own Risk” as the environment can change the conditions at any given time. Early season conditions apply- natural hazards may include ice, running water, rocks, stumps, trees, muskeg. Our trail ends at the banks, all water bodies may not be frozen, stay off large bodies of water.
