Weekly Trail Report – Thursday February 20th, 2025

The Whitecourt area has not received and new snow over the past week. All trails have been groomed at least once and are in great shape!

Staging areas:

Both staging areas are open for the season. Use caution if you are leaving the parking lot or trail at Eagle River Staging Area as there may be mulching debris present.

Grooming:

North: All North side trails were groomed last week. Trails are in great shape.

  • The Golden Triangle Section between the Carson Cabin and Letter O was groomed last week.

South: All south side trails were groomed last Friday. Summit Trail to Tom Hill Cabin was done last Wednesday. Goodwin Lake Trail and Summit Trail from Whitecourt to the Summit Cabin will be done this week weather permitting. Trails are in great shape.

  • Please use caution on the Bessie Creek trail and the Goodwin Lake Trail as there is logging in progress. Watch for signage and ribbons on the trail. Please follow signage directions.
Trails inside Whitecourt town limits have been groomed last week.

 

Hazards:

Please always stay on the groomed trails. If you are heading out use extreme caution. As always, our words are " Ride at your own Risk” as the environment can change the conditions at any given time. Always be cautious of natural hazards which may include ice, running water, rocks, stumps, trees, muskeg. Our trail ends at the banks, all water bodies may not be frozen, stay off large bodies of water.
