The Whitecourt area has received around 5cm of new snow over the past couple of days and the snow happily continued to fall throughout Wednesday evening and is still coming down this Thursday morning! We have still experienced above 0°c temperatures for the last couple weeks, some trail spots will be better than other. The Trailblazers have wrapped up our grooming operations for the 2024/2025 season.
Grooming: Grooming operations have finished for this season.
North: All North side trails were groomed three weeks ago. Trails are holding up in the treed areas with the warm temperatures, watch for some areas with sparser snow. Conditions may vary greatly across the trail system. Expect late season conditions
South: Summit Trail from Whitecourt to Summit Cabin and Goodwin Lake Trail were groomed 3 weeks ago. Summit Trail to Tom Hill Cabin currently has construction on it just South of Summit Cabin; use caution as there may be a detour to the old trail beside the current route or the trail may be closed, as a bridge is being removed. We will be starting Mulching Operations on March 17th, 2025 between the Summit Cabin and the Bessie Creek Trail/ Manweiler trail intersection. Trails are holding up in the treed areas with the warm temperatures, watch for some areas with sparser snow. Conditions may vary greatly across the trail system. Expect late season conditions.
Continue to use caution on the Bessie Creek & Goodwin Lake Trails as there is still logging in progress. Follow ALL posted signage directions and please slow down.
