POKER RALLY SUCCESS
Thanks to all participants, sponsors and volunteers for making the 2011 Whitecourt Trailblazers Poker Rally a huge success. The turn out was better expected with -30° overnight temperatures. Golden Triangle update
All sections of the Triangle have been groomed or travelled by snocat except for the area around Letter N between Blue Ridge Haul road and Freeman River. VIP Ride was a big success
Thank you to everyone who participated in the VIP Ride on Feb 1. It was great to showcase our new trails and open the Manweiler Trail. TEMPORARY TRAIL CLOSURE WITHIN TOWN OF WHITECOURT
The snowmobile trail that runs along the power line behind Ravine Drive from the Forest Interpretive Center to Beaver Creek is temporarily closed until January 21, 2011. Snow is great all around Whitecourt. Grooming has begun. Use caution near water and creek banks. Watch for detour on Summit Trail leaving Whitecourt by gunrange...go straight up ditch, don't cross highway until near airport...watch for signs. Monthly club meeting tomorrow. Remember to buy your trail pass. Have fun and sled safe!
