The warm weather this week melted a lot of snow but some fresh snow this morning will keep the trails in good condition. Groomers will continue as conditions allow. Word is that logging will begin east of the Virginia Hills road so use caution.
The groomers have been out again this week. Trails are in good condition with a little new snow. Athabasca River is still open. It's best to trailer to Groat Creek or Eagle River Staging Areas. Most trails have been groomed and are in very good condition. Only the Triangle Trail north of Carson Shelter is ungroomed but has good snow. Ride with caution and share the trail. Thank you to all the volunteers and groomer drivers who have worked hard to prepare the trails for the riding season!
Trail grooming has been ongoing this week. Goodwin Lake Trail to Summit shelter and back along Summit trail was groomed on Friday. Most trails north of Athabasca river have been groomed too. Water crossings still are hazardous. Use caution on all trails.
Both groomers are out this week on the trails. Some fresh snow has fallen but hazards still exist at water crossings. Parts of the Mcleod River are frozen and some sleds are crossing. Use caution. A lot of riders are out so share the trail and ride safe!
